Pete is an experienced Fire Safety Practitioner having over 36 years operating within the Fire Industry, a significant amount of which was serving within a local authority Fire & Rescue Service. Pete has personally completed in excess of 4,000 Fire Risk Assessments.
His specialist area is achieving and sustaining Fire Compliance. Pete’s background and experience is central to the design of a unique Fire Compliance Scheme which is a complete turnkey package of support made site-specific, yet bespoke to each client. Using a simple 4 step method, FCMS ‘Guarantee’ our clients will achieve compliance with the Fire Regulations allowing our clients to concentrate on what they do best - running their business.
FRACS has been designed to provide a "technical reference" for the risk assessor; using the international standard for bodies operating certification of persons; BS EN ISO/IEC 17024: 2003. Alwin is a proven entrepreneur with a career spanning 40 years, during which time he has developed a recognised track record in the UK corporate market and an established profile in the City’s professional community.
He was Executive Chairman of Inter Link Foods Plc until he retired in 2007. He had founded the company in 1994 and grew it rapidly from a turnover of £1.3m to £130m in 12 years. The company was floated on the AIM market and in 2001 was voted AIM company of the year. Alwin holds a number of non-executive directorships and is Chairman of the charity, Schools for Kenya.
Peter is an ex-senior banker with 23 years banking experience in the SME, corporate and large corporate arenas. This included working for three major banking institutions.
In 2011, after attaining an MBA, he left banking to establish Snowball Consulting to advise SMEs and corporates on their strategic, business planning and funding needs. This has involved working with established businesses of all types and industries, across the full spectrum of funding solutions.
Peter has arranged, negotiated and/or underwritten in excess of £1.5bn in lending facilities to UK businesses. He is a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers, Chartered Institute of Banking and holder of an MBA from Manchester Business School. He is also a Governor and Trustee of Holmes Chapel Academy and Chair of the Finance Committee.
Peter is responsible for marketing for Fire Compliance Management Services. Peter was previously a board member at McCann Erickson and later Managing Director of the direct marketing division of BJL in Manchester. He is the Company Secretary of Calvin Marketing. He is a Trustee on the Board of the registered charity, Schools for Kenya, since 2014 and holds an MBA from Aston Business School.
Diana is responsible for PR for Fire Compliance Management Services. She has been Managing Director of Calvin Marketing, a full service marketing and PR agency since 1995. Diana has been the Marketing Governor of Wilmslow Preparatory School since 2006 and a Trustee on the Board of the registered charity, Schools for Kenya, since 2014.
Anne has 40 years administration experience, commencing her career at British Aerospace before having a family and resuming her career within both the NHS and a private Environmental Consultancy. Anne was successful in gaining a Diploma in Business Management which greatly assisted her progression in various middle management roles, with further commercial experience being gained by operating within the property market. Anne’s principal role is to manage the administration and the accounts functions of Fire Compliance Management Services.

Each member of our team have the additional background of having served within a local authority Fire & Rescue Service as an Enforcement Officer so they are ahead of the game in understanding what is required to ensure Compliance with the Fire regulations can be achieved. Although based in the North West, Pete and his team, operate nationwide offering a quality level of support from a one off Fire Risk Assessment to major projects for corporate clients having either a single large site or organisations having multi-sites located around the UK or abroad.
