Outline of the proposal and the service we delivered:
Fire Risk Assessments and Fire Warden Training were undertaken in 2014 and have been repeated annually thereafter.

Client Testimonial:
“I have used Fire Compliance Management Services after attending one of their roadshows. I found the roadshow to be very informative. As a result, I instructed FCMS to carry out two fire risks assessments at the premises where I was the facilities manager. The risk assessments were carried out to a highly professional standard and the end product comes complete with a fire management folder that enables all of the documents required for compliance to be kept together in a handy and practicable folder. The fire warden training carried out by FCMS is innovative, compared to the traditional fire training that I have experienced in the past. I found it to be current and relative to staff requirements, and it was aimed at the right level for the staff involved. Pete is excellent at encouraging staff engagement. Overall, this is an excellent package and I would highly recommend FCMS”

Upton-by-Chester High School

Upton-by-Chester High School is located in Chester having circa 200 Staff and 1600 Pupils housed within approximately 10,000 m2 of accommodation. The initial contact made was as a result of the School attending a seminar hosted by FCMS on ‘How to Achieve and Sustain Compliance with the Fire Regulations’

Outline of the proposal and the service we delivered:
The initial work undertaken following a Gap Analysis being completed for the Senior Leadership Team of the School. This facility provided a clear understanding of what support was required by the School to achieve compliance. As a result of these findings, initially FCMS were commissioned to carry out a Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) of the main School and other associated buildings. Based on the confidence gained, the School then joined the FCMS Fire Compliance Scheme which will keep them compliant and includes, the annual Fire Risk Assessment Review, Fire Compliance doc’s and Fire Warden Training.

Client Testimonial:
“Having previously attended a free seminar provided by Fire Compliance Management Services Ltd (FCMS) on how to achieve Fire Compliance, I was more than sufficiently impressed to appoint them. Initially, FCMS were engaged to review our existing fire safety systems and to undertake a thorough Fire Risk Assessment (FRA). Once we had a quality FRA we were in a position to enter the FCMS Fire Compliance Scheme. The Scheme not only helped us resolve a significant number of deficiencies in our existing systems and procedures, it also included all of our fire training requirements and compliance documentation. In addition, the School was provided with a clear action plan to remedy any breaches identified.”

Rutlish School

Rutlish School is a large eight form entry, voluntary controlled boys’ Comprehensive School in the London Borough of Merton with a roll of approximately 1,300 (including Sixth Form) In May 2012 the school received a ‘Notification of Deficiencies’ order from the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority which required immediate action.

Outline of the proposal and the service we delivered:
FCMS were employed to review Fire Provisions such as Fire Risk Assessment Strategy, Fire Policy, Emergency Planning arrangements and Fire Training requirements in order for the School and PFI to address the deficiencies identified in the order. FCMS continue to serve Rutlish School carrying out the annual Fire Compliance Review and their training requirements.

Client Testimonial:
FCMS were employed to review fire safety systems, provide training for responsible staff and ensure all processes were in compliance with statutory regulations. The collaborative approach of the consultant ensured that stakeholders were engaged in the review process and encouraged to take ownership of specific aspects of fire safety which has resulted in a significantly improved and enhanced fire safety process at the School. The skills and knowledge of their lead consultant Pete Moulson was invaluable in ensuring all deficiencies noted in May 2012 were addressed, the threat of further enforcement action was removed and compliance with the Fire Safety Order was achieved having successfully passed the scrutiny of an Official Fire Safety Audit conducted by London Fire & Emergency Planning Authority on the 1st November 2012
